UpstateNomad90
Anyone on here do Charters for 6 people or so for stripers and summer fluke? I am looking to book a trip this coming summer and trying to see what is out there for options. If you want to PM me or send me a link to a website with a charter you have used before I am interested in all details. Thanks in advanced for any tips or help. greybeard
I don't do it, but have a friend that does . He goes out of Montauk, and I believe the North Fork. He has done quite well. He and his friends go a few times a year. I'll ask him. I will be in touch with him in a week, or so. I will forget to ask so please pm me in a few days and it'll go to my email so I'll remember. For bass , what time of year are you considering ? There are a number of charters on LI which are not as far out as Montauk, but I only know about them from ads, or fishing reports. Something to think about, the charters mentioned in fishing reports may be paid advertisers of the site, or magazine. I don't rely on published, or even word of mouth fishing reports generally, unless I know who puts them out. I have seen a number of less than accurate reporting from some. However, sometimes the reports are accurate and worth following...Hard to figure. Oh yeah, he goes for stripers, not fluke on charters. I'll email a different friend now(so I don't forget) and ask him if he knows any charters.. I don't know if he does, but he seems to know everybody.worth a shot. No guarantees for fish, but the guys I'm asking, I trust..
UpstateNomad90
I went last summer at the end of May and had the time of my life. The only problem is we drove to CT and it seemed like it took forever. So I decided I would ask on here to try and support business through other members for the heck of it. But I look forward to hearing from you and seeing what you come up with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Firenailer
I used to go Fall Striper fishing every year out of Montauk on the "My Mate" with Capt. joe Mcbride. He's a good guy and we always did well, with some really big Stripers taken over the years! You can either google it or see him at the Rockland Sportsman show every year.

Ny Hunter, I went out on a boat called Marlintini, and they are an awesome group of people. Most likely I will be going back to these guys but I wanted to entertain the idea of who other people have used and compare prices and everything. NY Hunter if you or anyone that might go with you is active or retired military let me know and I can set you up with what we did last year and how it was pretty cheap for a group of 6. http://www.marlintini.com/index.html

thphm
You ever think about fishing the Hudson river in the Spring,They are there before heading south to L.I. 50 pounders are not uncommon.
UpstateNomad90
I have thought about going down towards Troy (about 40 minutes south from me) but I don't have a boat that I would take out on the Hudson and I haven't really heard much about where to shore fish for them? If you have any info on this I am all ears
