Ruger Bullseye Setup

So I got an Ultradot red dot sight and put it on my pretty new stock Ruger Mark III Hunter. Shot at standard 25 yards resting on the shooting window/box. I used CCI AR Tactical 22lr (40gr 1200fps). 10 shot group. I pulled two and anticipated one.

That is one awesome 25 yard group.

Congrats on the new pistol...I have been wanting one for the last 10 years...Sucks when you cheap yourself out, probably could have bought a few of them for what I pay for coffee everyday!

that's kind of funny, as I don't drink coffee. lol

 

seriously though anyone have a Ruger Mark III or know anything much about them?  Is this accuracy typical or should I stick with that specific ammo?

I have never been a great shot with a handgun, but with my Ruger 22/45, I shoot surprisingly well...regardless of the ammo I use.   You obviously have a great setup, but yes....do experiment with other ammo.

Great group for a pistol. It seems to LIKE whatever ammo you are losing. If you want to play with other ammo, have at it, but I wouldn't expect much improvement over what you are using.. Shoots pretty darn good !
