Turkey

Growing up our hunting property was overrun with Turkey. Saw them everytime we were up there and sometimes flocks of 30+. It had been about 5 years since we've seen a lot of Turkey or even much sign on our property and all of a sudden it we had 4 straight days with sightings and flocks on 2 different cameras.

 

Is anyone else seeing the same. Believe it or not, squirrels seemed like they were disappearing too and all of a sudden they're all over the place again.

 

Hope it stays this way. I always enjoyed seeing Turkey even if I wasn't hunting them.

nest raiders, cold and wet springs, coyotes and fishers killing adult birds. Upon talking to a customer other day who has conducted studies in the declining turkey population said raptors are the biggest reason.

I've definitely seen alot more birds around so far this fall than in the past 5 years or so
