busy all day...trying to sneak past them in and out of the clover field...got these as 5 were running down through the woods...Deer every where today and seemingly much happier than of late...lol

I wish I had a better picture but I will go through my files, Last year on my way to college I saw a field with over 65 deer in it (End of Feb or start of March time area), Didn't have my good camera with me at the time just a crappy cellphone. After I got done there drove another .5 miles up the road and saw another 45 plus deer. All in all it was the most deer I have ever seen in one time. Let me dig through and see if I can pull it up

Well the dogs will sleep most of the day...they were up all night barking.......mind you their 6 ft high kennel is wrapped in dark green tarps...for a wind/snow break but also because the deer come up and bed next to the kennel or travel next to and behind it....the boys are good watch dogs...for they can hear a pin drop 70yrds away..lol...100yrds away they can hear a car engine slow and come out to their gate to watch the drive...the house and drive section is open for them to watch...Looks like I have to help them get use to the deer again after this cold spell..Ohh and the faint screams of the fox or raccoons down in the woods....usually a couple of firm No!!!! gets us all back to bed...lol

So far on my drive today over by Buckandaquarters area I have seen 20 just grazing the fields while the snow is coming down. Hopefully next year I get out with my bow for some early hunting.

Total of 31 deer with average groups being 6-8 deer, 1 solo deer feeding and only one road kill. Looking pretty solid so far for this coming spring

Yes and then the dec starts counting them and thats how we get our deer numbers for Ny State. They say..Man there are alot of deer in that field, there must be alot in this whole unit.
