Grouse / Woodcock sightings.

I am heading up to 7P next weekend for some bow and to run my GSP on grouse and woodcock.  First time hunting with a pointer of my own and was wondering if anyone has seen or flushed any woodcock in around that area.  Has the fall migration started?  I will be up October 17, 18, 19.

 

Grouse around me has never been an issue always see them, flush them but its the woodcock that I want to try my hand at.

It's a little early for flight birds. usually the last week of October is a better bet.

There might be enough local birds around to keep you interested, though.

Flushed a woodcock yesterday in 9H. Buddy has been doing well on grouse and woodcock in Tug Hill area.
