Four Seasons
Amazing how fast the Turkey numbers grow in our woods for winter. After combining around 800 acres of corn and beans their numbers grow into the 100’s. The bigger the numbers grow the more they strut around each other in the late season.
airedale
I noticed a Tom I saw Deer hunting was strutting, thought it was a little early but I see my Royal Palm domestic Toms are starting to strut also. Al

Al Crazy how the cameras show their actions as new birds show up. We have so many birds that spend winter here it’s crazy. And then just like that come spring the disperse again. I always thought the strutting was just for the breeding part of their lives but it kinda looks like they use it as a dominance thing also. Well over 100 calling the farm home for the winter as they always do. Flock of 20 plus bearded Tom’s with Jake’s mixed in. Amazing how they just up and disperse come adoring thaw. We have plenty hang around to fill everyone’s tags but nowhere near the numbers here now.
