Do I hunt fall turkey I've been out a few times with my one line decoy and called every little while for a couple hours. I was set up in a field. Is that bad? I don't even know where to begin when it comes to fall turkey.

Your best bet is to locate flock, run thru the middle of them, sit and wait and call them back. Guys will use dogs for fall bird hunting. Fall birds are typically tight lipped as the toms aren't looking for love like the spring.

Best two ways in my opinion are to head them off to roost, of you can spook them and just do light yelps to call them back in after (any time of day).  If I go in the fall anymore its roost hunting.

You get my PT schedual and follow me to any late afternoon stand on our 73 acres...a huge flock of turkey will arrive at 6 pm on the dot and fly up into the trees all around you...so I have to wait until dark to leave and not hunt them the next morning due to my appointment. it has happened 4x's in a row andI couldn't draw due to all the eyes...so now I have my ML tag and will be going out with the xbow until I get something...then back to compound....Saturday I will be out bright and early...I just set up my decoy buck near a stand that has 2 new scrapes 30yrds away...will hit that this afternoon...he has a camo cover on him right now...
