Borngeechee
So I played hookie from work today and went to the range. The ammo finally arrived yesterday for the new Savage Alaskan Brush Hunter in 338 win mag and I love it. Firing that 338 just feels right. Do you have a fave? Mr VJP
So when's the trip to Alaska?
Borngeechee
So when's the trip to Alaska? When I win the lotto or I save enough. Whichever comes first lol. I did start a seperate "dream hunt" savings account to see how much I can save by my 40th bday. I bet it'll be a "blast" on a hog hunt though. Overkill? Yes but I shot a hog that took 3 350 grain hardcast rounds from a 44 mag carbine. Edited April 1, 2015 by Borngeechee
Lawdwaz
How about some range and gun pics to pick this baby up? Do I have a fave? Yea, whatever gun gets the nod that day! I pretty much enjoy them all. Certain guns will be grabbed before others depending on the task at hand. Please don't ask me to choose one.............................. BUT, if I had to choose one for deer in NYS I think at this point it'd be a NULA 243. I really enjoy the handling of this one. Ain't a deer or bear that is walking away from a 80gr TTSX, IMO. No range pics because they don't allow cameras but here she is.
