I decided to get another doghouse blind for turkey season...I have one I have had for years and I like it. Give it a little silicone spray and it's good to go...all these newer hub blinds that are in my price range do not have zippered windows...I rather enjoy having them zip because it gives me more opening options and when left, I can be some what assured I won't be walking into a quest in the predawn woods..Also less "edge" for the rodents to chew..IMO...I found the perfect spot for it...and picked up 2 bags of max attract..That will do acre and I am adding alfalfa and some more clover to it for the big field. I have to save up this summers Gander points again...only 23.00 left...lol

I haven't kept up to date on ground blinds for a while. Some of them looked more user friendly

with adding more window options. Looked like they were aiming for more bow hunting options out

of them.

I like hunting turkey out of them for concealment, but feel like I'm missing viewing options.

The other factor that have quelled my buying ground blinds, is the price. I just can't see paying $100 or more

for a cheaply made tent. LOL.

The first dog house blind I bought was from SG and cost me 40.00...I'm still using that blind after 15+ years I just spray it with silicon ...then I got my chair blind and use that when I go to camp on morning turkey hunts....This one I'll put up on our place in a spot I want to check out before deciding on building a blind.....

It's less boring than sitting in an open stand for I can read...play on the kindle(no smart phone), write, stretch these tired old legs of mine undetected...plus it's amazing when you can sit very still as a deer pops it's head in and looks you over....I've had some fun times in ground blinds both bought and open brush...this one cost 60.00(free to me) ;)  and if it keeps me out of the morning chill and damp air it's worth every cent...
