Video: Gasper from Millbrook, NY calls in a Horse with a Drury heat bleat call

I was filming my friend Gasper on a deer hunt earlier this month in NY and had the pleasure of getting this crazy deer hunting moment on camera....

I might of fell out of the tree laughing if he came into the woods under my tree.....

I now have the Drury heat bleat on my wish list for Santa.....The sound quality is so good.....

Funny you mention that. I told Gasper that if the farmer was watching, he might have thought we were actually trying to kill that horse.....which obviously we were not....

If that horse was a buck, it would have been a bit out of range for an ethical bow shot...as Gasper was another 10 yards behind me.

I actually sprayed some Buck Bomb on my shoes and I had a male goat chase me for about a mile. If I'm lying I'm dying!

My hunting buddies were laughing there asses off when I came in that night and told them the story. The damn goat followed me half way down to my treestand. Luckily the area I was hunting was gated off so I was able to lock him out otherwise goat would have been on the menu that night.

I'm laughing just envisioning that myself. At least you now have a deer hunting story that you and your friends will be talking about for a very long time.

To me, it's moments like this that make hunting special - you never know what our great outdoors will bring us.

lol thats funny. yeah that call works good when you have a buck just a bit out of distance for the can or on a windy day. that vocal reaches out a bit more. you can also control the volume of it for that buck thats in closer. good stuff tho!

Google Horse Poaching.  It's pretty serious.  They cut out the good meat, and leave the remainder for the owner to find.

As far as that goat;  I think we would all have goat milk and goat cheese, and a nice family pet.

I have the primos Can and a Hunter Specialties True Talker....and the Drury call just sounds so realistic to me compared to those two....Love the range and ability to control the tone and duration too....

The horses posture and reaction reminded me that of a mature buck in rut as he would come to a call or decoy....
