I finally got out to shoot my 2 new Ruger Americans today. One in 25-06 and the other in .22Mag.

Impressive. After some tweaking, the 06 shot under1"at 100yds. The 22Mag was stacking them at 75yds.

If anyone is on the fence about buying one,,,go for it.They shoot.

I have an American in .308, I love it. The price on them is amazing too, I paid $309 for it new, shipped to my FFL, and it was a limited edition camo.

i've been scouring gunbroker for the camo versions for a while now. Occasionally they pop up sub $300 but i never seem to get them.

Price aside, these are amazing rifles. I know 4 other guys that have them in centerfire. They all rave about the way they shoot. Now I know what they mean. I might take them back out tomorrow.

I have one in .308.  Bought it because I really didnt want to take my 700 out and try lugging that long and heavy rifle through the woods.  I zero'd it a while back and was in love at first trigger pull!  Love my American!
