Next Challenge - Meteor

I posted a deer/fireworks shot that was captured by a friend in a small group that is active in cam development and use. Every so often a good challenge presents itself, like the fireworks. We had alot of time to talk about it and prepare. This time, the Perseid meteor shower came up yesterday morning. I didn't have much time but did what I could to try to capture a meteor. Alot of cam settings won't allow for manual operation (longer shutter namely), so there was alot of talk of taping arrays, removing filters, shining a flashlight at the cam but out of the FOV. Short on time, I set the cam up with the best settings I could.

 

So far, I am the only one who has caught a meteor in the group, albeit not a real nice streaking shot we all aimed for. Next year!
