Hunter safety course....fill up fast

Just a heads up for anyone you may know that want to hunt spring turkeys and thinking about taking the course. I stayed up til midnight last Sunday to sign my daughter up for one of the 6 locations that were drivable to on April 16th for us. Registration started at midnight but for some reason midnight was Central time zone so I stayed up til 1 am. ( It's NYS so WTH) Signed her up and good to go. The next morning at 11 am I looked and all the locations were filled. 6 x 50spots = 300 all filled in 10 hours. I guess that's a good thing that more people are getting involved BUT bad if you hunt public land lol

My g/f wants to take the hunter and bow education courses. I told her start looking now and get a spot when she can for both. She has no interest in turkey, so the schedule is a bit more flexible, but you still have to jump on them when they come up near you.

My brother called just the other day asking about the training course requirements. He was pretty happy when I told him that I still have his license from the 1970's in my file cabinet. I'll refresh his memory so he doesn't hurt himself. ;-]
