genesee_mohican
For all day deer hunts where I'm walking in 2 miles to get to my stand I dress light for the walk in and pack in the rest of my cloths, water and food and gear for the day's adventure. It's about 20 lbs.
Nomad
Around the house I carry a back pack with a bunch of crap I don't need. In the adk's at my camp I carry a small wool fanny pack with matches license pen extra knife a flashlight extra compass and a piece of 550 cord and a small candy bar and a life straw. When I'm covering miles in a day I want to be as light as possible Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That's a good kit and shows thought and knowledge , Many don't even know what a Life Straw is. Cordage is very handy for many things including shelter building , extra knife and compass , two is one , one is none.I might add a contractor grade trash bag or drum liner for rain protection, either wearing or over the shelter , also can stuff with leaves to insulate you from the ground . Just my two cents , I figure you know what you're doing . Edited April 21, 2016 by Larry302
fasteddie
I carry more than I need in my backpack as if I am driving 50 miles one way I am making a day of it . During gun season, I carry the backpack, gun ,shooting sticks and sometimes a two man chair blind. Not easy at my age.
