Hearing first cicadas today

Darn things been noisey this season.  Seemed early. One flew by with a bird hot on it's trail. Deer came out Sunday in the field while I was baling straw.  Grabbed a few mouth fulls of clover. Walked right along with the tractor. Last years doe, I believe. As if to say hello, LOL. Yes the year is slipping right bye.

That's funny...I was picking blueberries a bit ago and they were singing up a storm ...I thought.... so we're in another cicada hatch??? or are those grasshoppers/crickets? Either way, yep sure sign we are entering down slope of summer. It brought back some memories of lazy hazy youthful summers.
