2:45 a.m. wide awake, why?...

Because a large pack of coyotes let loose howling less than 100 yrds from the kennel and my bedroom window! Jolted me ,and the boys out of a sound sleep..it went on until the boys started barking and I let loose with a shut....hmmmm......up! Darn if that didn't shut everything up...Lol all I hear now is the breeze through the trees...but I'm wide a wake

Funny thing Growie.......for all the trail cam videos of coyotes I get, it's so rare to see more than one at a time.  On Sunday's pull I did get two pups running 100 mph by the camera, ironically!  But for a critter that does "roam in packs", 99.9 times out of 100 I see single 'yotes on my cams.

Just got done with a load of wash and washing dishes.Having breakfast now.

Usually when they let loose like that they are spread itout calling back and forth...this morning they sounded like a pack of hounds on a coon....just yipping and barking not baying...sounded to be at least 5. Man,that close they are LOUD!

FL....Many moons ago that is when I'd just be finishing closing out the bar registers and getting ready to lock up and head home...it's also the time I leave here to go hunt camp for a day....Now that's a long drive,but no traffic
