Just a FYI for all you LI hunters.  Make sure you spray your clothes with Permethrin from Sawyers!  Ticks on LI carry a variety of diseases Lyme is one of the many and can ruin your health, don't take that risk!  It cost about 20$ for a bottle and you can do a full set of clothes for hunting the season.   I just used a bottle plus for all my pants, underwear, socks, boots, base layers, bandana, pack and will do my new safety harness after I hunt tomorrow if I get one.  Well worth the extra time and cost!

This is also found in nature and the scent is minimal so you do not have to worry about it causing a deer to smell you.

And don't do what I did and spray it on while you are wearing your clothes this is a treatment that you have to put on your clothes and let dry before you use it!

I'm in no way associated with this group, if you have questions.  I was at a festival up in Glens Fall and saw their tent/booth.  My father in law has is bad and my family being outdoors all the time I was interested.  Never heard of them before, but they had their stuff together.  They had lists of knowledgeable docs, printed news letters, literature, contacts, and other resources.  All the people under the tent approaching people who had any questions, basically has lyme disease and went through treatment or was still doing so.  They lived or were living it.  Just figured it was a good link to share.  we grabbed all kinds of info off the table, but I'm sure the link can get you that and more.

Anyone knows anymore good links or resources I'd say post them up.  Maybe this thread will be something good enough to sticky somewhere.
