im in kingston spaciffically but i was wondering how many people do you see hunting on state land in ulster county?

It depends upon where you go. In some instances none,in other instances some or even many. The deeper you go the less likely you will see any one else.

The DEP lands up there get some heavy action on weekends. However, you hardly see anyone on weekdays.

Ulster county has 100s of thousands of acres of state land, i'm sure you can find some room...

Check your library for Catskills hiking guides, and you'll find alot of land under an hour from Kingston..

I have & recommend the NJNY Trail Confrence Catskill map set. 5 or 6 maps, and enough places to get away for a lifetime.
