New long range rifle

Had to have one to go with my Ruger precision rifle 6.5 creedmore ...this is a Savage 10fcp in 308 topped with a 6x24x50 vortex scope I just put a precision armament muzzlebreak on it today gonna see how it shoots this weekend

I take it that the brake is threaded?  I'd be curious to see a report on the difference in recoil with it on and off. I shoot a 308 pistol and other than keeping a sight picture I cant see the recoil reduction in a 308 to be worth the increase in noise using a brake.

Threaded 5/8x24 ..the break is a timed break so it was a pain in the u know what to get it right had to buy the 30$ washer set to go with the break...I put the break on to help with the muzzle jump when u buy these new they come with no break at all just a thread protector..

You had to pin and weld the brake didn't you? I'm glad I wasn't the guy doing that job.

Regarding the noise, I have just purchased from AAC a cover that goes over the brake when a suppressor is not on (I spend most of my time in FL.), that screws on to the 51T brake adapters. It acts as a flaming pig and has all gasses go straight out the front.
They have only made one so far for the 223/556, the 7.62 should be coming next

Nope no pinning and no tacking or welding on a bolt rifle...rifle was bought already threaded ...just had to put a break on ....i don't know why savage don't put the break on just the thread protector

Nope that just goes for semi autos mostly....bolt rifles are exempt from the stupid Cuomo feel good laws .
