UpStateRedNeck
Leftover Deer Management Permits (DMPs) Remaining Deer Management Permits Available for Hunters Leftover Deer Management Permits (DMPs) will be available to hunters beginning on Wednesday, November 1, in Wildlife Management Units (WMUs) that still have permits remaining after the close of the initial application period. Leftover DMPs will be available in WMUs 1C, 3M, 3R, 3S (bowhunting-only), 7F, 7H, 7J, 8A, 8C (bowhunting-only), 8F, 8G, 8H, 8J, 8N, 8R, 9A, 9F, and 9G on a first-come, first served basis. During this extended application period, DEC will issue DMPs in each of these units until the target number of permits are issued. The status of permits will be reviewed each night, and as individual units reach their quotas, they will be closed effective the following day. A list of units with available DMPs will routinely be updated on DEC's website or via the DMP Hotline at 1-866-472-4332. Leftover DMPs are not available by phone, mail or internet. Applications must be made in person at license issuing outlets. Additionally, Bonus DMPs are available for hunters who successfully take an antlerless deer in WMUs 1C, 3S, 4J, or 8C. As long as you keep filling them and sending them in they keep sending new ones.

Excellent! 3s has tons of deer especially by me. I regularly see groups of 10+ at a clip on the property I hunt. Unfortunately they never seem to go to the stands I choose for a given day.Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk It's been years since I hunted 8C but back then you could use you antlerless or either sex tag on a doe and they would give you another either sex. As long as you kept filling it with does you got a new one. if you shot a buck you were done. Had to take head and tag to regional office.
