biggamefish
Anybody hear that they want it to be illegal to have a pump shotgun or a shotgun that has a hand grip on the forarm?
MuzzyLoader
Anybody hear that they want it to be illegal to have a pump shotgun or a shotgun that has a hand grip on the forarm? So... who's 'they' and where did this come from?
Mr VJP
Anti-gun politicians are always posting bills with all kinds of restrictions on all kinds of firearms. They are trying to limit your right to own any firearm they do not feel you need for hunting. That's why we all need to also support the right to own any type of firearm we may not like, if it is something that others like and want to use. Otherwise we will not be free to own what we currently can own and will be restricted to a very limited 2nd Amendment freedom. Don't criminalize to possession of an object, severely prosecuted the crime committed.

growalot
All I see here is making it illegal to import such weapons with certain features...not ban ownership....actually the way it is written importing the weapons with out such "add ons"...then importing the "add ons" separately would be legal....I doesn't say ...at least what I was reading..may have missed it....guns with such "add on" couldn't be sold here....once the parts are shipped in.. The above comment in no way is a personal Opinion that such bans should not be fought......It's like kicking a single rock at the top of a gravel pit....next thing you know..... the side of the pit is sliding down hill
fasteddie
Heck , I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to have a bayonet lug or grenade launcher on any of my rifles ! : ... : ...
Mr VJP
What can one do with a bayonet lug or a grenade launcher, if they don't have a bayonet to attach or a grenade to launch? Why pass a law outlawing a feature of a firearm that is harmless, if not to harass the owner of the firearm? Possession of a shotgun barrel less than 18" in length is good enough to get you 10 years in a Federal prison, even when you do not possess a shotgun that it could be attached to. Even when a shotgun that it would fit may no longer even exist. What does the BATF think you can do with it, beat someone to death with it? If so, why are billy clubs and baseball bats still legal? growalot
Actually billy clubs and certain base ball bats are illegal in NYS...I know for a fact because A car I bought had a red wings souvenir bat in the back seat from previous owner...our son drove the car to school and parked it locked in the student parking lot.....The campus cop was walking the lot looking in windows and before I knew it they had arrested him for carrying a weapon on to school property....We ended up in court and lawyers the whole nine yards....needless to say this guy had it out for our son and ended up bragging ...but this.... 3 months later got him fired...when I hauled in eye witnesses and signed statements to conversations detailing his "plans" for several students he disliked...my warning to take the whole thing to the news didn't help him
