yeah but that's the whole crux of my argument. If you go looking for it and tune into the extra "non-sport" content you might see it. If you don't want to see that, then just watch the game. Then you can't bitch that the product is somehow no ruined by what happens off the court.

I disagree. But, if true that makes it ok? teen suicide? naked on a bathroom floor?

So as a spectator we are supposed to ignore it? I refuse to watch any sport(s) that allow players to disrespect the people they are playing for. Your argument was that they don't do it in professional sports and they do.

Never said it was okay but you said he was castrating himself and it didn't look that way to me. Majority of the time you see any sort of self mutilation on television it is in a bathroom sometimes in the bathtub. I'm pretty sure that is where they were going with the cartoon, either way it was a reference to people doing bodily harm to themselves to get their way. Basically an adult tantrum.

Guessing you mean for the sports, how about Kneeling for the national anthem.

Here is why you won't see it in the NBA, they have a rule against it not because they have more respect.

2) Players, coaches, and trainers are to stand and line up in a dignified posture along the sidelines or on the foul line during the playing of the National Anthem.

In 1996 Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf was fined and suspended for sitting for the anthem.
