ADK Native
http://www.thestate.com/news/business/national-business/article213582779.html The article states “The session's final days saw measures intended to improve school security fall flat.” Apparently the lives of school children are not that important. Sad how many of these same politicians lead by Cuomo passed the useless SAFE Act overnight, but cannot legislate protection of school students and staff. Obviously the lives of school students and staff are less important than more useless gun control laws.

In case you haven't noticed nothing is "that important" to them. They sit on their asses, do nothing meaningful, and collect their benefits and salary claiming to be representing the interests of the people when in reality they are only interested in representing their personal interests. Come on 2 1/2 months off with pay and benefits...how stupid we as voters are to 1) allow it to happen and 2) allow it to continue from year to year. philoshop
They follow the Federal model when it comes to vacations vs work.
Rattler
I believe their idea of school security was more useless gun control anyway. I'm glad that fell flat. The real issue is why they won't approve real school security. Seems if it has any sort of expense to it, they won't consider it.
