Saw one of these at a gun show over the weekend. The guy who had it was ready to give it up for $350.00. I thought it was kinda cheap for a bolt action thumper

That looks cool as all hell! Without knowing anything about what they normally go for, if I had the pocket change, I would be tempted. I am not too sure on the practicality end of it...I wonder how that big rimmed cartridge would feed, but for  a fun range gun ...and no reason whatsoever it shouldn't be hunted with (other than I have a 45-70 Browning 1886), what the heck. My guess is the demand is low for a bolt 45-70 with the lever actions being so popular right now.

straight walled chambered rifles are all thats allowed in some stated the 45-70 has gained tremendous popularity because of that ..

Very obviously a SMLE  converted to 45-70, even using an altered military stock...Interesting... Both the parent .303 and the 45-70 are rimmed cases.. Appears that they may have even altered the issue mags to fit the big cartridge...I would wonder how well it would feed also...
