Fps, How much of a different from 18" to 26 " barrel ?

Just wondering because I just bought a shotgun with 18.5 barrel. 

How much if any difference in fps is that going to make from my 26" barrel shotguns?

With slugs and  varying size shot .

If you research it, you will find there is not a lot of difference. Will there be some? probably, but not enough to make a big difference in the ballistics.

From personal experience with a shot gun you'll get way better accuracy and be able to take further shots with the 26" barrel.

The 18 1/2" barrel is go from in the thick brush and home defense.

Accuracy is not effected by barrel length, velocity depends on brand of slug, some will be affected more than other. Shotgun powder is often the same as pistol powders that makes barrel length not have as much affect.
