Limb saver size help

Thanks for reading!  I'm planning to take my son out for the youth early deer season this weekend.  He used my 12 gauge Remington 870 Express with wood stock last year to harvest his first deer...the shotgun had a limb saver on it (the one that slips over the end of the stock)...we lost it tracking his deer.  I'm out of town this week and want to order a new one (the gun is in my safe at home)...could someone with the same gun, please measure the end of their stock for me so I can be sure to order the correct size..below are the size options from the Cabelas site?

The interwebs suggest that a size SMALL will fit the 870 Express.  I just threw a tape measure on my wood stock 870 Express.  The measurements suggest that a SMALL would indeed fit correctly.
