Hitching post meats
Is there a few of us who still hunt on the ground using just our natural surroundings as como? I've harvested my fair share in a stand but there's something about taking a deer on the ground with a bow.

Any time I hunt private I use a blindSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BowmanMike
I get bored sitting in the stand if i do it too much. Then i turn into a ground hunter for a while. Last year i drew back on a decent buck while the doe he was following circled me,he was wondering what she was nervous about and stopped, but just behind a tree that covered his front half. I couldn't move because of the doe. She busted me a few seconds later when i tried. That was hella exciting though, just hiding behind a tree. I go back and forth between the two,or three because stillhunting is fun too. Edited October 5, 2018 by BowmanMike typo
Dabills
I did it tonight as a matter of fact. Never tried it before but I squatted down for about an hour and a half against a ridge near some bushes with the wind blowing my scent back into a field over the ridge. Didn't see anything until I went back into the field and spooked a doe and two fawns on my way out. It was fun I'd do it again. Treestand is more comfortable. sits in trees
In the near future I'm planning on making natural blinds on my property. Pop ups are ok if well brushed in also. Just something about a ground blind in an open area that just doesn't cut it, for me at least
