Cuomo to become highest paid governor in the nation. State legislators approved a salary increase Monday for Gov. Cuomo that will make him the highest paid governor in the country. Cuomo's salary will jump from the current $200,000 to a nation-leading $250,000 over the next three years

On the news tonight a Democrat Assemblyman was asked about Cuomo's raise.  The Assemblyman did a marvelous job never saying he was against the raise and used the excuse that it was placed into the budget making it sound like "say what, how did that get in there with money for schools, welfare, cable TV for prisoners, etc. ?"

If a CEO runs his company into bankruptcy, he gets fired.  If a blue state leftist Gov. runs his state into the ground, he gets a 25% raise in pay?  Seems like that gives him incentive to strive to bankrupt the state, doesn't it?

Come to think of it, merit pay increases don't seem to be practiced in any government service position.  You can be nothing more than a huge expense to the taxpayers, yet still get a nice raise and eventual pension.
