Is it safe?

Like a moron i never discharged my muzzle loader last season. I was wondering if there is any repercusions to trying to discharge it or if i could take the breech plug out and push pellets and sabot out of the barrel.

it will either fire or won't. either way your in for a rough cleaning. ive done this before as well  :-[

Heck, pull the b-plug and dump/push the guts out.  AND DON'T EVER DO IT AGAIN!! :'(

Thanks guys. I dont Plan to ever do it again. Things got hectic last year and i let it slip my mind.

Done it myself before! Just take it out, fire it, and give it a good cleaning. No worries.

If the barrel was previously fired before that load was put in (a dirty barrel) I'd run a few patches with some JB Bore Paste on them and polish it up a bit.
