I disagree with doing this with traps, they should have a season to culm the herd if needed.

North Carolina has a hunting season for bears...They take some huge ( 500 lb +) black bears down there...

i have a soft spot for animals missing limbs.  I follow a page that builds fake legs for animals, its so amazing to see how happy the animals seem to walk “normally”.

I had a  dog years ago that was missing one hind leg...I named him TRIPOD....Every time he lifted his leg to pee, he fell over....
