Removing colloidal clay in your well water

Anyone ever successfully done this? There are a few options and a few products. Anyone have a recommendation?  Water sucks at hunting camp. Usually i can bring a weekend supply during hunting season but I’m not enjoying it at the moment.  Luckily now a friendly person a few houses down is good with me filling up containers. Filled 26 gallons today.

I've got some sort of sentiment filter.  It was here when we bought the place. It looks like a water softener.  It filters the water, then I believe once a week it back flushes it self to get rid of the crud.  No clue what it costs.

Neighbor has some kind of filtering system.  My water is fine fortunately.
