It's been in the works for over a year but with only four sponsors it will probably go nowhere,  but at least someone is thinking about it:

I'd rather see a bill giving the NYC and Long Island area to CT. 

Then Cuomo would be the Governor of the rest of NY.  It would be hilarious to see him do back flips trying to earn votes from the rest of NY state.
