Buddies of mine do.  Semi guided hunts.  They've taken some nice bucks. Little expensive IMHO.

I have bow hunted Iowa three times, three different units always during November.

 

You will need to look at the needed points for the unit your looking out. So you might need to buy points also. They are 50 each plus fees, and you can only buy one a year during the open application period. Its currently closed now. For example i drew my tag last year with 4 points, so add 200 to that above total.

What do you mean by points

Iowa is preference point state, licenses are draw by lottery. The highest preference point holders draw the licences first.
So for example say zone 5 now tags...last year they took a minimum of 4 points. So the only people that drew those tags had four or more preference points.

Different zones and different tags require different amounts of preference points
