So I guess I dont need to lime but need to add sulphur ..

You can still plant beans, its actually a really good idea to plant them with a brassica blend and grains.. You cannot beat green beans for early bowhunting.. You just wont get pods for winter. I planted beans with brasicas, small grains and clovers the last 2 years.. Its a good cafeteria mix .. they will die with a good frost but in the right location and right setup.. you can reap great rewards hunting over green beans..

I plan to do just that, after the gullywasher today, glad I hadnt done any work yet. Definitely needs a little bit of grading and ditch work to keep the lower edge from flooding.

Saturday will pick up winter peas and granulated sulfur from the agway store. 

Finally will put a camera on it to see whats visiting it. See plenty of tracks in it already.

A month later I graded the lower half of the field and cut a drainage ditch. Then planted winter peas, beans, radish and white clover and then got some awesome thunderstorms !!

Interesting observation today. The deer were eating peas that were spread and pressed in the soil.
