noodle one
I just saw two deer run across my back yard . I can't tell you what they were because they were moving. I don't know if someone kicked then out down on the pipe line or a buck moved some doe out. The doe bed down behind my shed and if it was them, then it had to be a buck that pushed them out.I know the bucks are moving because I had a (6) six point come in behind me yesterday at 9:30 am with his nose to the ground. Recoil Rob
Just saw the same thing in our back yard in a densely populated area in Westchester, buck chasing doe.
Steve7
Noticed the same thing today. Walking a low lying ridge by a swamp, saw a nice 4 chasing a doe. The low ceiling and maybe a little lack of pressure has them up. Good info for all to note.
BizCT
Just saw the same thing in our back yard in a densely populated area in Westchester, buck chasing doe. I'll be hunting Putnam tomorrow morning, tell that buck to wander over the border. Thanks lol.

Jennifer
The deer are moving... into people's yards. I had a nice conversation with two button bucks yesterday evening while I was out ranging my chickens, they must have been a whopping 10 or 12 yards away from me, I could see their button nubs as clear as could be. They didn't have a care in the world. It's funny, and sometimes frustrating, that the deer here are so lax around me and my husband when they come up to browse our woods/yard, after spending a long hard day in the woods seeing nothing! They know where they are safe.
Steve7
Funny but true. The are reluctant to enter the woods. I had 4 does practically rigning my front door bell.

bkln
...They know where they are safe.... You are right Jen, I have 3 of them on my front lawn every evening after dark, not a care in the world even if I park my truck right next to them, I could almost hear them saying: "...I ain't going into the woods, it's too scary out there..."!!!
