SteveB
Ceramic lump charcoal cooker/smoker. Anyone using one here? They store I am working for sells them, but I have not used one personally. They are huge in the south and I know several competition BBQ teams use them.
nyantler
I went to a function where they were promoting the green egg.. they cooked everything from stew to elk steaks on the thing... they smoke some wild boar... they even baked some kind of cake like desert.. everything was terrific... the price is a bit steep I think.. although it is pretty versatile.. you can get the thing to 1200 degrees I was told in no time at all... all in all I was pretty impressed. SteveB
Yep - ready to cook in 15 minutes and really versatile . Not that pricey when you consider it is 140 lbs of ceramic and and pretty much a lifetime grill. Use a lot less charcoal then like a Weber kettle - which I used for years.
