k burke
I'd like to reduce the trigger pull on my Marlin. Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to do it yourself or would you recommend it only be done by a gunsmith. Also, if you can provide some expectations on the cost of having a gunsmith do I would appreciate it.

covert
Safest and easiest way to do it yourself is to buy and install a replacement trigger from Wild West Guns. I have one in my .450 Marlin, it only took about 20 minutes to install giving a better pull and getting rid of that floppy trigger the Marlins have. $88 at Midway USA. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/259762/wild-west-guns-rifle-trigger-marlin-336-444-1894-1895-blue?cm_vc=1800BrandPopProd Aside from that I'd take it to a good gunsmith. stillhunter
+1 on the Wild West trigger. Put one in my guide gun a couple of years ago. Made a big difference.
