Southern NY Small Game Hunting

Anyone know of any public land spots where I may be able to find some successful small game hunting opportunities?

Would love to see a pheasant, but would settle for a few rabbits. 

Preferably Putnam county, but wouldn't mind driving up into dutchess either.

The DEC releases pheasants in specific sites every year. Not sure how many remain this far into the season but this should help get you started:
