2021 1C January Season reports

So how did everyone do?  Where and when did you hunt?  Public versus private?  Number of deer seen?  Bucks, does, or shed bucks?

I always do better during the bow season and this year was no exception taking a doe and a nice size 6 ptr. I saw several deer in January on private land (Manorville) missing a shot at a buck.

I didn't hunt this year but that has been my experience.  October starts dead/slow building toward November, end of October to middle November hot, then cooling through mid-December and end-Dec into January dead/slow, with public land worse than private.  Many folks think January season is going to be like November with shotguns but not even close.

January shotgun was slow for me. Spent a good amount of time in the woods but never really had any great chances. Saw some small does and a spike that shed on one side, couldn’t get a shot off.
