Lawdwaz
While on a job in the city of Lockport last Thursday I got some interesting shots of a gobbler & hen. Ever see a turkey drink from a bird bath? Probably would have been 14" beard if he didn't keep stepping on the damn thing................ Woodsman20
That is a good bird for sure. Can you get in there with a bow maybe??
Lawdwaz
To tell the truth, the best shot is going to be from the dining room window. The bathroom window is a bit narrow and the bedroom window angle just isn't right. <grin> No chance of ANY legal method of killing him or his friends. About the only way you could bag him is with your bumper.................... He probably has been named by the neighbors as well!! He's a REAL city bird! Dinsdale
Guess this means I got to get a bird bath to add to the pile of corn I have out in the woods...... Think I need to carry it in and out each time? Maybe I'll just get a couple for different areas. Good pics.
Lawdwaz
The bird bath just outside of a Double Bull blind could be a winner. <grin> (it also looks like a potential chopping block in the first pic!)
Nomad
Nice pics. Here in Webster there is a spot where 15 or so come into a yard most days. Its next to a little shop with a rear parking lot. I have drove up to within 15 yards of them and called from my van and had Toms head my way.... felt like opening the sliding door.... if you want true city birds theres plenty in down town Rochester in the river gorge real beard draggers, some great bucks too. Woodsman20
That's funny Larry - I think I know where you are talking about. I live in the same area. Haven't seen any big bucks in a while down in the gorge but haven't agressively looked in a few years either.
