  1. Got home from KY yesterday afternoon. Despite tons of hunting pressure and severly henned up birds, I did manage to kill a decent gobbler monday morning (the only one taken out of the 5 of us). Dad and I should have killed two more on weds. but things just didn't work out. Oh well, that's turkey hunting. I'm very happy to have killed a bird on my first out of state hunt on heavily pressured public ground. Stats: 21#, 10" beard and 7/8" spurs.

  2. Insurance companies are pirates without a doubt. But the new healthcare bill will prevent an insurance company from telling your son with a medical history, oooppps sorry no insurance for you with that nasty pre existing condition you have, or they wont be able to tell you well we think we paid enough for your sons medical needs and now your on your own fella.Getting back to the mandate, i beleive it will bring rates down, or well keep them from going up at 20 to 35% every year like they have been doing for the last 2 decades. The more people you bring into the insurance pool the better chance you have of keeping costs down. We have mandated auto ins in NYS, if we didnt you would have millions of drivers in our heavily trafficed state that would choose just not to have insurance, trust me. And if that were the case you would not find an insurance company that would wanna take the risk of insuring you and if they did you would be paying 5 times what you are paying now for car insurance. Hey i might well be wrong about all this but what the heck has anyone else done about it so far but ignore the whole situation...

  3. I got my rescue dog from petfinders and he is the best dog. He is a black lab mix with flat coat and has a white patch on his chest. Have had him for two years last month he is 3 years old and just a great dog in every way.

  4. We walked into this morning's setup with an extra high level of confidence that there will be coyotes nearby within calling distance. Having a friend call us upon a new property to take care of a "coyote infestation" is always a bonus and a well-received tip. It would only take a matter of minutes to prove credible, as the first coyote was spotted crossing our field in the dark as we put together a blind. Letting this coyote walk to allow for proper filming light, our patience and discipline would pay off as another coyote came into the field a couple minutes later. Remembering the original coyote and knowing the direction he headed, helped us bring him back and put him down as well for an exciting double.
