  1. I was a bit disappointed to see those general (rule of thumb) methods of establishing draw length. Things such as height charts and arm-span /2 are pretty bogus when you are laying out the kind of cash that bows and arrows go for these days. I really hope that no one is using those methods of determining draw length. As far as I'm concerned, there is only one way to measure draw length and that is with a real bow drawn to a proper anchor and the use of a measuring arrow, or some kind of marker.

  2. I wonder if they have a # for deer killed by cars. I see probably 50 or more dead deer a yr on the 5 miles of 26 north I travel every day to work. Use to be worse before they gave out all the doe tags. Had to drive that section of road with my windows up it smelled so bad from the ones that went off the road to die. It wouldnt suprise me if 400,000 a yr were killed by hunters, disease, cars, predators. And it might even be higher.

  3. For me in the North Country the regular season starts on the 4th Saturday in October - which is one week later than in the past. Muzzle season starts the 3rd Saturday. All these dates are OK with me. The extra week at the end is new for us up here in the big woods. Good chance for some great snow tracking with my muzzle loader.
