Finally made it out of the political thread and into the woods to hunt coyote. Got this one with the newest XG50 Thermion on the Savage Impulse predator. Hiked around awhile and saw nothing, but on the way back, I spotted a pair around a pond next to where I parked the van. That faint vertical line in the video, is the vans antenna. Lucky I didn't shoot it. I also hit the tripod leg with my boot as I took the shot, lost but found my call during another stalk and had 6 other small coyote go right past me, while I was searching for the call, as my rifle was resting in the tripod 50 yards away. https://youtu.be/Xm1u04Ecloo

I'm glad your friend is doing better and hope he makes a full recovery. Why don't I get the Jab ? I've had covid and am told by the experts that I have anti bodies that are stronger and longer lasting than any jab being made. It would also be my luck that I would be one of the.0019% that would have a severe issue with the Jab and die. "Since December 2020, more than 350 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the U.S., and VAERS has received 6,968 reports of death (0.0019%), according to the CDC. (Numbers as of Aug. 26, 2021.)" I also know several vaxxed friends that have severe health issues after taking the jab and all of them said they would've never taken the jab if they knew it had such adverse side effects. Side effects that weren't known, because it wasn't tested long term before being administered. Like you, I watch what I put into my body and would rather suffer another bout of covid, before injecting something that may have side effects that I may never be able to recover from. Both Big Pharma and the Gov't have no liability either, and that's a big red flag I can't overlook.

Exactly, but I'm not mandating you to not take the vaccine for the common good. My cousin is vaxxed, with booster and still got covid. Don't know how he got it, as he's been very cautious because he has a heart condition. He feels + looks like death, but hopefully now he'll have natural antibodies to help fight the Rona, if he lives. Docs are putting him on some type of drug cocktail that has a drug in it that rhymes with pectin and we'll see if his condition improves. I hope your friend gets well soon.

Why are you wasting your time trying to educate the super educated experts here ? We were all hero's when we were needed, but fools now, because we don't believe in "their" version of science, even when their version is proven to be wrong and their caught contradicting themselves, because they don't know what their saying as their just regurgitating what their masters are telling them. They want it both ways, because in their limited brains, it's for the common good.

I think we have multiple Hunting section's on this forum, that many who post here, also post in. I would go hunting, but I need to work for the Common Good !

Turmoil or Subversion ? Trump was being impeached before he came into office, on what we now know was based on total lies from the top gov't agencies and courts, yet he still managed to get the job done in spite of that. Then came Covid and it was too good of an opportunity for the Dem progressive socialists to not manipulate into a weapon against Trump. The rest is history, that future generations will be paying for the rest of their lives. Lets Go Brandon !!!!!!!
-
They don't need evidence, as it's for the Common good ! The common good trumps science and all other forms of rational thinking. Now, roll up your sleeve and get in line.

So your going to work, potentially exposing others to covid, because a large percentage of Vaxxed slaves are asymptomatic carriers of covid. I assume your getting regularly tested for covid ? You could be exposing patients and not even know it, but I'm assuming you already knew that. Besides Joe Biden shipping tens of thousands of possible covid positive illegal immigrants around the country, the "I'm vaxxed, so I'm free" attitude of Asymptomatic vaxxed carriers of covid is probably the biggest cause of covid outbreaks. You'll never find that data though, because it doesn't fit the narrative. Hopefully we'll get some more data on the Mu variant that's spreading across Europe, as I hear from friends serving overseas, the Jabs aren't having a great effect on it. BMM, Common good ? Until Trump was out of office, the Dems were touting the Vaccine was laughable and many touted publicly (VP Harris) that they wouldn't take the jab. The Jab is just another useful tool, nothing more.
-
I didn't try, I posted a response. This coming from someone that was told put a "Vaccine" into their body, from a President that can't even put a sentence together ?????? Roll up your sleeve slave, it's time for your monthly Covid jab and don't forget to wear the double mask produced by Fauci's mask company. Their laughing all the way to the bank, sipping margaritas on their yachts, while your masked up hiding in your basement.

It worked, Your riled up.

That's one of the problem's with using a red light, as something could've come in, but you never saw it. With bow season in full swing, it's likely they found a gut pile, road kill or another food source and aren't looking for a meal in your area. Give them a day or two and they'll be back.

If it's easy to take the breech plug out, remove it and start fresh. Make sure the flash hole is clear before reinstalling the breech plug. Safety first.

Their dream, any sane persons nightmare. They can spew out any type of claim they want, but there's no way it's going to be all electric in our lifetime, as the elctric grid is overworked as it is and adding more of a drain on it will shut it down. Solar can only go so far and all other so called "green" energy is to costly to produce. Since large animals are being deemed "carbon" emitters from the eco leftists, pedal powered travel seems to be the only option, but then again, the exertion when pedaling emits more carbon into the atmosphere too ! Send in Fauci !!!!!!

Good luck and make sure of your target before pulling the trigger.

I've made the mistake of calling before I had my thermal on and found them 20 feet away when I started scanning. Get set up and have your shooting lanes picked out before you start calling.
-
Locator calls, challenge calls and then pup distress. Once you start calling, be ready and watch your downwind side, as they like to approach from downwind. Even if you don't kill one, you'll be putting them on notice and maybe they'll look in a different area for an easier meal.

I was going to post a reply with links to Joe Bidens Clown antics and lies, but this forum doesn't have enough band width to support it.

Pulsar Thermion Scope Comparison
Shoots100 replied to Shoots100's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
You made a good choice with the super hog. Great price, full of good features and field proven. The Gen 2 XP50 is an awesome scope and as good as the super hog or yoter is, I prefer pulsar optics. Good luck to you also and I look forward to seeing some hunting videos from you this year. -
I think the last one in the pics looks like it would taste the best.

I've left links to medical studies from other countries that counter your covid claims and you still claim that it's gibberish, unless it comes from some lib doctor from NYC, you know the expert doctors that killed thousands of covid patients by putting them on ventilators ? Luckily, some doctors with experience put and end to that treatment and saved thousands from certain death. You don't need a superior education to know what's right and what's wrong. When given all of the facts, most people can make their own decisions, except for the liberal slaves, they need their marching orders. Every day that goes by, the main stream media is losing the battle to cover up their lies about the vaccine and the alternative + preventative medications that are being used with great effectiveness in other countries. Meanwhile, the current administration's experts are intentionally transporting untested refugees from countries that have who's knows what covid variant around the US. Are those the educated experts you want us to trust ? Other countries have closed their borders to stop the spread, but our "Experts" are rolling out the welcome mat and then penalizing Americans with mandates, lockdowns, social distancing, covid passports and injections. Even a fifth grader could tell you that's idiotic. Have fun at the wedding, hopefully it's not near a town that they transported unchecked illegals to.

In my quest to aquire better thermal optics to aid in my night time hunting, I decided to jump on a really good deal for a Pulsar XG50 rifle scope. Since selling my Halo scope years ago, I've been looking at getting another BAE sensor scope, but couldn't afford one. My XP38 scope has a great image and wide FOV(field of view), but I've been looking at upping the base magnification for more precise shots, since I've been hunting in areas that offer longer shots. The XG50 has a 3x base mag, twice the base mag of the XP38, but half the FOV. I was worried about the smaller FOV of the XG, but after looking through the XG for the last couple of hours, I was worried for nothing and the 3x base mag is growing on me. With a 3x base mag, the XG has a 384 res image at 6x. With the 1.5x base mag of the XP38, it's 384 res at 3x. The clarity of the XG is awesome and while the XP38 image looks good , the XG does edge it out, especially at longer distances. I linked videos of both scopes focused on a neighbors jeep at 100 yards. All scope settings the same. Recorded image doesn't do the XG or XP image your viewing while behind the scopes justice. I had to add that about a half hour after these videos were taken, it started pouring rain. Humidity degrades a thermal image and I think both of these scopes performed well considering. Enjoy. XP38 XG50

I guess you didn't view the ER nurse video that grouse posted, or lost interest while watching it because there's to many facts for you to handle ?

It's a Savage Impulse Predator chambered in .243 win. I sent the barrel to Pete, since it's easily removable. Contact him and he'll let you know what to do. I bought an N vision halo after they first came out years ago. BAE sensor/core 640 resolution image is awesome and it's made in the US, but it couldn't record and I got an offer I couldn't refuse. Plus, I didn't like how you had to manually NUC it and despise 123 batteries, which it ate like Pez candy. Been using Pulsars ever since and when the XG came out, I wanted one, but I had the XP and was content. I was eyeing the new Halo X35 scope, as it uses 18650 batteries and records, but was told that their not going to be available for awhile, because of part shortages. But that BAE bug just wouldn't relent. Since I like and am used to using a Thermion and I also have plenty of APS batteries, I decided to look into the XG. I got a real good deal on this one, otherwise I wouldn't of bought it. I know the XG's image isn't going to be as nice as the Halo's, but it's right there. I've been told (by a fellow that also has the XP's and an XG) that it's a lot nicer than the XP's image and that's saying something, as my XP's image is very nice. The XG has a little more base mag and less of a FOV compared to my XP, so I might not like the XG and that's why I'm not selling the XP yet. Sometimes I get shots at closer ranges and I'm concerned that those shots might not be feasible with the XG. As you know, what you see in the scope is a lot better than the compressed image recorded. Tomorrow I will find out. Good luck to you also.
