I bought a sportsman 2K watt dual fuel Genny early last year. I've only used it with propane and it's been great. I bought it because when the crap hits the fan, gasoline supply has been spotty, but propane is abundant. I bought a couple of 20 lb'ers and the adapter to fill the 1 lb bottles for my propane heater.

I started long ago with the R93 30-06 std and 308 semi weight barrels after trying one out at a higher end gun shop, but sold it as I do a lot of deer driving and got tired of the loading/unloading process. I compete/hunt with a Tac2 and hunt with an R8, which are much easier to load/unload than the R93. I'm a southpaw and both are set up with LH bolt housings. Once you shoot a straight pull, turn bolts seem antiquated. R8, multi barrels and your all set.

They have 1/4 of our population and actually enforce their immigration laws, so yes, Germany is in way better shape than America on all accounts. They make the Blaser rifles I use, which I chose for my one and done firearm.

Unfortunately, over in some European countries, they are only allowed or can only afford to own one firearm. To get around this, Most choose a rifle platform that has barrel/caliber changing capabilities. So my choice would be my Blaser R8 rifle with as many barrels I could afford.

I liked the Monday opener, as it was a reason to get out of school, hang with your deer camp buddies for the weekend, get your gear set set up and go over hunting strategies around the pot belly stove or campfire.
