I didnt try shooting it without hearing protection................scope and probably ring will be replaced, this gear was just what I had laying under the bench when I got home.............though I do plan on intalling an adjustable cheek piece to match whatever scope ends up on it

I was reading my nosler reloading manual.....................I can load 180gr bullets to speeds almost matching my 22-250!!!! BIG VARMINT GUN!!!!! lol.........if I had the money I woulda bought a 50cal

1- in NY we can only hunt with a 5rd magazine 2 - who can tell what capacity magazine I'll need to protect myself with. 3 - do I need it to hunt with?? no but I WANT it to hunt with, it performs its duty as intended.................same for defense its nice to know that YOU apparently know what I NEED, and dont NEED................

scot, can I ask.what kind of firearms do you own and keep in your house? are they all single shots? bolt guns? pump? semi-auto's?

you do realize that my "ASSAULT" weapon is the SAME exact operating system as the semi auto rife I was given to hunt with at the ripe old age of 16?? but I guess my assualt weapon is black, so its scarier......you already go through background checks at point of sale...would you like to be rechecked every month? the original clinton era assualt weapons ban DID nothing to curb violence.................evil people will do evil things, if it isnt with a gun, it'll be with a bomb, or a car, or a knife, or whatever they can get ahold off....................so yeah I agree lets illegalize those evil semi auto's.................... turn in your grand dads browning auto 5, or the m1 garand that your uncle bought home from the war..................scary scary things these guns..........................................oh wait, its the person behind it that does the crime, I forget these things since my keyboard speaks for itself, I just type the words

again, how do you keep someone unarmed that doesent have a mental issue at the time or for years, untill the time he finally goes nuts and kills people? do you have a premeptive test to weed these people out? I agree, if someone has issues, when they try and buy a firearm, sure dont let em buy one........................but how will you account for the future mental well being of anyone, including yourself?

lawdwaz.......here in westchester county...............................if you get 4 "doe" tags, you fill those, you can turn them in for 4 more tags...............good for buck OR doe.................shoot 4 more does, go get 4 more tags............................and so on.until you fill one of these tags with a buck, you can keep turning them in for more either sex tag................ and thats JUST for your anterless tags, then you have your reg season, and you bow/ml and ml/bow.......................lots of tags

being in the woods is fine, just seeing does would even make me happy, thats about all I saw last season in the area I bowhunt, saw does every day I sat............kept things interesting.............. in the last 7-8 times I've sat my one stand( I dont have many options for stands here) I've seen 2 does................ I did a peibald doe yesterday while rifle hunting at about 80 yards( saw her last week at about 420)...... if I can get out on saturday I'm hoping to see her again.

just losing interest, lost access to a property a few years ago, never got a reason why, just uninvited( this probably demoralized me more than anything)................ any of the spots I still visit, just arent very interesting anymore, damn near devoid of life it seems........................some of my buddies are busting my chops for not going out, even my dad is to some degree, they just dont understand that at this point, I dont even care if I shoot anything.................. beats me

I can barely drag myself out to hunt in NY anymore, let alone hunting in another state.....just losing interest in it anymore
