Who wants Yearling Buck Protection with ARs in their area?
waterweasle replied to Meat Hunter's topic in Deer Hunting
I'm still on the fence about AR's, though in the area I grew up hunting, and still get out in a few days a year, I do seem to be seeing better bucks than I ever have there( the AR's were put in places a few years ago)...............as for the fines poachers pay, since I've been huntingabout 30 years now, I heard over and over again how many guys dont get the full fines, or confiscation of equipment, dont know the truth on that though, just something I've heard- 320 replies

Does anyone own a Remington R-15?
waterweasle replied to Sogaard's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
the only part that is registered is the lower ( where all the trigger, safety ect mechanics are), thats it, the rest you can buy over the internet.....this is the part I'm talking about( without the tan plastic grip on the magwell) then you just have to make sure it stands up to NY assault weapons laws ei: NO COLLAPSIBLE stocks( you can have one that WAS adjustable) but its gotta be pinned so it cant move -
is this legal?
waterweasle replied to boo711's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
right, if you are buying it then transfering it to someone that isnt able to buy one legally, THATS a straw purchase............... -

I know of several bears that were killed by hunteres using dogs to track them, after the DEC had given them permits to do so, and depending on where exactly this happened, fellow farmers might not complain in the least bit to the "tresspass" if it involves a nuisence bear
