  1. It's all a plan, they know that if kids aren't started young, the odds of them taking up our sport plummet.. If they reduce hunter recruitment, they reduce gun ownership, and opposition to gun control.
  2. You must mean the minimum antler length to be tagged as a buck. They're not saying you can't shoot a tiny spike or a button, but if you do, you must use your antlerless tag. This is different, and no argument from anyone is going to change they way I see it, just like you will never see it my way. I'm over it, I know what I want, you know what you want. I also know what I will and will not tolerate from DEC.
  3. No, they tell us how many deer, and of which gender they can be.
  4. Of course DEC tells us what to do. For as long as any of us here have hunted, there has been control over methods, seasons, and limits. I'm not saying I want to kill deer all year long, or kill as many as I want. I'm saying that they are taking the control too far, when they start telling me what deer I can shoot, and what constitiutes a quality deer in their opinion. It's like any other branch of government extending their reach too far. It's enough, it's none of their business what I kill as long as I am harvesting sustainably. That's why I don't like AR's. There has to be a line in the sand somewhere. What's next Joe?. That's all i'm saying.
  5. Who are you to say that once we have it, we'll change our minds and see our errors? Sounds like you are trying to be some kind of parent figure placating a child. Don't act like you know what anybody else feels, or how they will react after AR is implemented. I don't believe for a second that a majority of hunters support AR. The DEC surveys are not a realistic cross - cut of NY hunters.
  6. So that was you watching me. I also like to dump my used oil in the woods. I do this all at night. Don't forget that I'm usually drunk too. I find that being tanked makes the shots more challenging, and it's a skill to hold a spotlight like that. Luckily, I tape it to the barrel, right next to the 2 liter full of cotton. I like to combine poaching trips with my trips to the meth lab / weed field, reducing vehicle pollution is everyone's responsibility.
  7. Yeah, you're starting to try too hard. I think I have a really good idea of what kind of guy you are. Texting? Where did that come from? I don't even have text. It's OK, I know your mind is starting to go. You must have me confused with someone else. My name is Skillet, remember, joe? The poacher, remember?
  8. Nah, I'll stay here and piss in your wheaties. You seem like just the type of guy I like to screw with. I think this is the beginning of a long and wonderful relationship. Have a good night joey!
  9. You give yourself too much credit, no one cares what you think enough to get their feelings hurt.
  10. I agree completely. One buck of the hunter's choice, and that's it for the year.
  11. Blowhard is a term of endearment, John. In answer to your question, I hunt in region 8, where there is not yet AR. So, as of yet, I am not a poacher.
  12. I really don't give a damn what ANY of you think. You guys are funny.
  13. Do you think I care how you feel? Blowhard? LOL, I'm saying I won't be told I can't shoot a buck because of age or rack size. Take it how you want. Lots of people think it, I'm saying it. Too bad. Ooh, Dave, stop. It's the emotional scars that don't heal.
  14. LOL, you're right. I care when people try to force their views on others. But like I've said before, I will not have the deer I kill be dictated by guys like Joe, or anyone else, DEC included. Yes steve, I'm aware that I am talking about breaking the law, & I meant it. That about sums it up for me.
  15. Nah steve, I only looked hard enough to find examples of his attitude. I really couldn't care less about his opinions, because I'm always going to shoot what I want to, regardless of rack size.
  16. Good point Culver. I guess we should also have no problem with our tax dollars going to fund abortion.
  17. Believe what you want. I never heard anything in the NT condoning gay marriage.......
  18. Understood sir. I agree that people's willingness to give up on marriage is damaging. Not as damaging as gay marriage though. There was divorce back in the day too, and it was frowned upon without very specific betrayals, just as it should be now.
