  1. We had a tough time in 8N. Only killed 2 in 2 days of hunting. My girlfriend killed both of them.
  2. The boss and I are heading out to camp soon. She's taking the .410 and my .22 is ready. Good luck everybody who's going! (I hope there's a bunch of you)
  3. I can't wait to get back out stomping them again. This was our best day last yr, we didn't have a dog & jumped them all on foot. Kicked out about a dozen that got away. We were West of Rochester, in Bergen. My Girlfriend and my buddy did most of the shooting, I was playing beagle. I think this will be a good year, been seeing a lot of them around. Anybody else get into it?
  4. Yeah, we hunt Hi-Tor sometimes. I like it there. Tons of greys.
  5. If anybody's interested, the deadline is approaching. I'm in.
  6. That kinda looks like a pig was rooting around in there for food. My ex wife dropped a Cheetoh in the lawn once, and it ended up looking similar.
  7. You know I'll be out! Probably hunting in 8N. Can't wait.
  8. LoL. I've been around, just had to work on gettin a couple things straight I guess. Great to be back! Missed it.
  9. It's not her fault. She just got a 'contact stupid' from me, I was standing next to her.
  10. Carol Graham. In Penfield, but worth the drive. PM me for the number if you're interested. Her website is www.dreamseasontaxidermy.com
  11. I've killed 2 buttons in my life, I didn't know either one was a button. I thought they were both doe fawns. They both ended up being really good eating deer. No regrets, and I'd do it again.
  12. I always use a bottle, then spray the outside of it, and my hands, with secnt-a-way. Don't see the sense of adding another way for me to get busted, especially when it's easily avoided.
  13. Before you try all 3 broadheads, why don't you try the broadhead from today, on all 3 shafts. If it's the shaft, you'll be able to tell without having to dull the rest of your heads.
  14. It sucks to have to re-sharpen, but you've probably got a good idea. It should make it clear to you if that is a bad arrow, or if the broadhead you shot today has some kind of defect. I hope you get it figured out. Let us know.
  15. Are you shooting the real broadhead on the same shaft as the dummy? If not, maybe that arrow is bad.
  16. I'm trigger happy, with my bow, and my shotgun. I'll think of you the next time I'm hanging a 1.5 in the tree.
  17. Lucky. We had our bird feeders smashed 2 weeks ago, left a nice track, but I didn't see him. Hope to get a shot. I'd trade 2 season's worth of deer for a bear.
  18. Good luck all. And let's remember to be thankful for the fact that we're able to go out there and do what we love.
  19. I think you might be shooting too much at once.
