    I am guessing that a 15' stand has the foot platform at about 12 1/2 feet . i feel comfortable at that height . I bought some ratchet straps to replace older ones . At the end of a season , you should loosen the straps a tad bit so as not to gird a tree and allow for the tree growth .

    Yeah , I also recall parked cars all over the hunting areas and seeing so many Red and Red&Black plaid hunting coats in the woods . Also the 5 shot barrage noise from the shotguns . You could pretty much tell which way a deer was running from the sound of the shots . Seeing hunter's vehicles parked near hunting areas is far and few between . No idea how the DEC gets a count . Maybe they use A.I. .

    It has been to wet in the woods and too much water in the swamp to check the trail cameras . As soon as I get the bullets I need , I can start reloading . I have been out a few times doing some geo-caching which gets me off my lazy butt and away from the computer . Going to have some vascular surgery done in my right leg next Tuesday and when the leg is okay , I have to start doing some PT for my back . Apparently I have stenosis of the lumbar . Being 81 is no piece of cake !
