  1. I really hate to think there are elitist hunters out there with your mindset, disgrace to all hunters. Sound more like a troll trying to screw with these threads then a hunter with an opinion. What is it that scares you elitist about the crossbow? Is it that I will kill all your deer? I still till this day have not seen one valid and factual reason as to why not allow crossbow into full inclusion.
  2. I picked up a 6.5 creedmoor for my 12 year old and I used it this past hunting season and it performed really well, I put a muzzlebrake on it and used 120 grain bullets, hardly any felt recoil and it just plain laid out a big bodied 2 1/2 yr. old buck. I was very impressed, its also a tack driver on paper.
  3. Poached eggs in a peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes and red wine sauce with avocado on the side.
  4. Venison backstraps, tomato and mozzarella.
  5. Scrambled eggs with lox, avocado and a bagel.
  6. Venison sauted with onions and peppers in Pita bread with dash of hot sauce.
  7. Come on no one said that he was no longer a threat but even the expert witness on trial (the man has trained cops since the 70's) indicated that once a person is cuffed the threat is significantly decreased. I saw no threat in that video to those cops. The cops need to listen to people and de escalte a situation, the guy was obviously claustrophobic and anxious, had they just took him out of that car, instead of trying to shove and push him in the car even after he was pleading with them. The cops should have just kept the hand cuffs on and sat him on the curb to calm the situation, things would have ended differently. I say murder, he intended to kill that guy, at what point was the cop going to take his knee off? Kept his knee on for a few extra minutes even when Floyd was motionless (dead).
  8. Approved technique okay I'll take your word on that but to do it for almost 10 minutes and the man was cuffed to boot, absolutely no need for this man to loose his life especially over a $20 counterfeit bill. If people are siding with this cop and use of that technique for that time frame you all have blinders on. Wasn't he also begging to be let up because he couldn't breath, if you can't see that as sad injustice then somethings wrong with society.
  9. Beautiful day to be out on top of the mountain, took most of the day but we got it done. Stand is in place, now just need to order the redneck.
  10. Now if that's true, that is just silly. What's not to like, they are cumbersome yes but fun as heck to shoot. I've heard everything from the bowhunter aficionados that the reason we want to hunt with a crossbow is because we are lazy,we are a buch of hunters that want instant gratification, we don't want to put the time in to be proficient with a bow etc... but not one valid reason to not include crossbow. It boggles my mind...lol.. I just don't get it. What makes these people tick....lol
  11. They can grow outside and inside, however those growing inside would not be visible, the "inny" tumor would either be affixed to an organ or to the chest cavity. The outward fibroma atleast those I have seen don't look like that. Just my opinion.
  12. I've seen deer with those warts, doesn't seem to be what I see in the pic.
  13. I still don't see why we need graphs and stats. , we have a slight upward trend in the recruitment of hunters, that's great. But I still have not heard one valid reason as to why we should not include crossbow in the archery season, what are you bowhunters so scared of? I have not heard one valid reason? I just don't get it. Why the kickback?
  14. I think Fibromas are mostly found on the interior of a person / animal, typically masses found on organs or affixed to the chest cavity. Looks like an old wound.
  15. Not nuts at all, but I think as parents we need to be realistic, atleast my goal is to use sports as a stepping stone to get my kids foot into a college (I'm not even concerned with MLB), sports help in getting a kid a faster look especially if they are gifted in a sport. Just a side note if he plans on going to college make sure his grades are priority as there's very little sports scholarship money and thats only if he gets into a d1 or d2 school, d3 schools offer no sports scholarship. All the money to be had for all 3 tiers is academic money (grades are key). Having said that my 16yr. old has always played up from when he was young. He tried out for varsity in HS as a freshman (his HS has both a jv and varsity program) and made the team and was a starting pitcher as a freshman and most times was facing kids 3 to 4 years older and loved it and had loads of fun and is a stud among kids much older then him. If a kid has natural talent and is gifted it makes no sense to beat up on kids that are not on the same level, does absolutely nothing to help him get better. He needs to be around kids of his equal or better to motivate him. Again, each kid is different, but if he is talented no reason why he can't compete at a higher level. Remember from this point on baseball is more a mental game, if he handles that well he's in good shape.
  16. Can't wait to get started, looks like High School ball may start up soon, first HS practice tomorrow. My 16yr. old is very excited, hes been working hard during the winter and up thru now with his travel team. He committed to a national team so alot of traveling nationally in the near future, end of May we head to Florida for a few days with the travel team, hopefully some spring HS ball then in the summer is alot of traveling, need to make sure I save alot of my vacation time..lol.. there's one tourney in Georgia in June and that alone is like 6 days of ball. Also excited for my 12 yr. old (another lefty) starts ball this Saturday and my daughter starts softball, my heads spinning already., but they all love it so gotta make it work. Pics from last weekends scrimmage, wish I could post a video, his slider is so filthy..lol Anybody else getting the kids out on the field?
  17. My sons team played against Nazier this past fall, his velo off the bump was up to 96 mph, insane for a 16yr. Old, he recently committed to Miami university.
  18. Your a braver man then me, I have dealt with reptiles my whole life and I know gators can stay under water motionless for hours on end without surfacing, my luck I would walk right on top of one...lol. and with all the invasive fish like giant pacu, piranha etc...not me..lol
  19. Lard bread for breakfast. Beyond good.
